Important Trumpet Tips:
1) Always attach a label to your trumpet case to prevent someone from taking your trumpet by accident.
2) Never put books, food, money, toys, or anything besides your trumpet, mouthpiece, and cleaning supplies inside your case.
3) Do not set your trumpet down where it can be stepped on, sat on, or knocked over. If you are not playing your trumpet, put it back into the case right away.
4) Watch out for curious friends or little brothers and sisters who may want to "try out" your trumpet. Keep it in a safe place at school and at home.

5) Clean your mouthpiece regularly with a brush and warm soapy water.

6) Oil your valves every time you play your trumpet. A few drops per valve will do. Never use too much oil because it will leak out the bottom.

7) Keep your slides greased once a week to prevent them from getting stuck.

8) After practicing, gently wipe down the outside of the trumpet with a polishing cloth.

9) Never try to remove a stuck mouthpiece. A repair tech at The Master Musician will remove it for free.
10) Bring your trumpet into The Master Musician for regular check-ups or when you think you have damaged it.
11) Lastly, have fun and enjoy learning how to play the trumpet!
